BP, and my new greenhouse!

BP has really made a mess of things down in the Gulf. They had the solution since day one: implode the well by setting off some explosives - it's not that big a hole - cave in some rock and you've got your solution - gusher stopped. But no, they have to save their precious well, at everyone else's expense. Even this relief well, to be completed in August is to give a 'solution' by extracting more oil. I can't believe Obama is letting them get away with this farce.

On a happier note I just finished building my greenhouse in the backyard. No more artificial lighting required, we're gonna use the power of the Sun folks:

Spring is coming

Spring is coming. My little basement experiment which started in January has been a success so far. I've learned to germinate seed and nurture seedlings to full fledged fruiting plants in soil and aeroponics. I plan to plant the 3 sisters garden of corn, beans, and squash in my backyard. I'll probably buy a greenhouse as well and start an aquaponics garden. Stay tuned....
